Breaking Records with a Century
Finn Allen showed his cricket talent by scoring an incredible 137 runs in just 62 deliveries. He hit five boundaries and an amazing 16 sixes, setting a new standard for individual scores in T20I cricket for New Zealand. This also showed that Finn Allen is excellent at facing even the toughest bowlers.

New Zealand’s turn to bat saw a fantastic partnership between Finn Allen and Tim Tim Siefert, who added 31 valuable runs before leaving the field. Together, they scored 125 runs, contributing to New Zealand’s total of 224 for 7. Even though Mohammad Wasim Junior tried to break their partnership, Finn Allen continued to play well, achieving his second T20I century quickly.
Pakistan’s Tough Time Chasing
Pakistan faced challenges in chasing the high target, losing opener Saim Ayub early. Despite efforts from Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, who partnered for 39 runs, the required run rate kept going up. Rizwan’s departure hurt Pakistan’s chances.
Babar Azam continued his good form, scoring 58 runs off 37 deliveries, including eight boundaries and a six. However, wickets fell, and with the increasing required run rate, his dismissal in the 16th over was crucial.
New Zealand’s Impressive Bowling
While Finn Allen’s batting was outstanding, New Zealand’s bowlers also played well. Despite Haris Rauf taking two wickets, he conceded 60 runs in four overs. Spinners Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi broke key partnerships, ensuring Pakistan fell short by 45 runs.
